what is mezze school?
Mezze School is a training program for refugees and immigrants in restaurant business. We provide tools to improve their technical and social skills and increase the chances of access to employment. The course was developed in partnership between Pão a Pão Association and the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTL), in a project supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's Cidadãos Activ@s program.
Training at Mezze Escola has a duration of six months, divided between a theoretical-practical component, taught at the School itself, and a practical component in a work context, developed at the Mezze restaurant as well as in partner restaurants. After the training, Pão a Pão Association will make a bridge with employers, to facilitate professional internships and job opportunities.
