Pão a Pão launches restaurant course for migrants

The Pão a Pão NGO, in partnership with the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTL), is launching Mezze School, a training course in restaurant especially developed for refugees and immigrants. We aim to improve conditions of access to employment and give tools for the development of technical and social skills.

The course, supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's Cidadãos Activ@s program, has a duration of six months, divided between the EHTL, with a theoretical-practical component, and the Mezze restaurant, where the students will receive training in a real work environment. In a last phase, Pão a Pão will bridge the gap with employers, promoting professional internships and job opportunities.

The trainees who complete the course will receive a Training Certificate issued by EHTL and another by Pão a Pão.
